It's saved me so much time in setting up my workshops, webinars and Youtube recording. Having it my video frame setup ready to go without any other tool has been a life saver. I love that I can share my screen seamlessly with the Boom remote. The best!
What needs improvement
If we can have vertical recording for Instagram or Tiktok view ... wow! This would be a game changer. It'll be my all in one tool!
vs Alternatives
TellaI used Tella.TV for a year and found that it was great for recording only but showing up live in meetings and sessions was something I was struggling with. OBS was a bit annoying for me to manage live and now with Boom i dont have do do anything but use the remote to switch to camera full view or share screen!
How seamless is Boom with Zoom, Meet, and Teams?
It's so easy to change your camera to boom when you hop on a meeting with Zoom, Meet or Teams. From the drop down just select Boom.
Does the virtual camera work reliably across apps?
Yes, I've used it across Google Meets, Teams and Zoom
Is there noticeable CPU load or fan noise on Mac?
Not at all, I havent seen any issues
