What did it really take you to launch your product?

I've been thinking a lot about the human side of building a product.

Not the tech stack. Not the launch strategy. The part nobody puts in a Product Hunt launch story.

How did you balance it with a full-time job?
Did you ever seriously doubt the idea?
What kept you going when nobody cared yet?
How did you deal with the feeling that you were wasting your time?
What surprised you most about yourself during the process?

I'm currently going through this myself. I'm a Brand Designer & Art Director, and I'm building my first product for designers. I'd genuinely love to hear from people who have already been through this.
