I'm Blake. I took Float to $14k before launch & gained 49k Twitter followers in 10 months. AMA!

In September, I had a few hundred followers on Twitter. Now, I'm about to reach 50k. In February, my personal brand and content helped me land my dream job as CMO at Copy.ai. In March, I started building Float

Can i use a picture of my cat as a logo?

My cat is my logo. Is it okay for me to use that image for my application or do I have to create a new one? Are there any rules I have to follow?

Subscription Based Model vs One Time Fee. Thoughts?

Hey PH, So I work for SigmaOS (ihatemybrowser.com) and we are a productivity browser company focused on making working on the web easier. The current model is to charge a montly fee for the software but I have received some feedback from people that they would much rather pay a higher one time fee. I know there has recently been a little bit of a pushback against subscription based services but yet most services we use today are still subscriptions. What are your thoughts on this?

What is the biggest lesson you've learned marketing for a startup?

This could be your own or working under someone else's startup Mine is probably working on SEO early on when you're first working on your startup. SEO takes time to get going, and if your website is completely new, you can't expect results straight away. Also, you don't need 'paid' tools to get going. I did my initial research with a free trial with SEMrush and then subsidized my results over time with Ubersuggest.
