I'm Alex, founder of Layover. Five years ago I was delivering mail. Then I led an AI data team, got laid off this year, and went head-to-head with a hiring system drowning in AI-generated applications. I had the skills and the experience, but no way to prove it up front. So I built the thing I wished I had. I'm a screenwriter by training, not an engineer. But it turns out telling a clear story is most of what building a product is. I shipped Layover solo, and killed my own scoring system when it proved dishonest. A product built on trust can't have a dishonest core.
