Hi everyone, I wanted to share a small project I ve been building in my free time. It s called WishPlace, and the idea came from something very common: we often see buildings where we would love to live, but we have no way to know if someone inside would actually sell or rent at a price we can afford.

WishPlace tries to flip this. Instead of monitoring dozens of websites, you save the places where you really want to live and set your basic requirements. Owners or Agencies can privately see the interest around their building and contact you when the moment is right, without spam and without sharing personal details until you choose to.

Hi everyone, I m Alessio. I live in Barcelona and I work as an Engineering Manager. In my free time I like to build small projects, usually starting from problems I see in everyday life and trying to solve them with quick prototypes.

I m now experimenting on an idea called WishPlace, an inverse housing market. Instead of checking dozens of listings, you save the buildings or streets where you would really like to live, and owners can see the interest and contact you privately when the moment is right. It is still a simple prototype, and whether it works or not, I will enjoy the journey and the things I will learn by trying.

There are some buildings where I would love to leave. They are expensive, probably. But who knows if someone there would like to sell the apartment at the price I can afford?

And if there would be one, how could I know he exists without visiting any agency of the city, hoping that that person went already there, or without visiting all the possible websites in which he would advertise it?

I am not planning to sell my apartment now. But maybe someone is looking for an apartment where I leave, at a price I wouldn't say not, because it could allow me to buy an apartment in the place I really love. As today, you will never know if someone is interested in buying your apartment, and at which price, until you decide to sell it, by visiting an agency, or post the advertisement in a website.

I ve noticed that my workflow has changed completely over the last year. I rarely start a new project with a blank file anymore. Instead, I pick a template, reuse snippets, or let an AI helper suggest the structure and then I just vibe my way through the build.

It s faster, but sometimes I miss the old blank screen energy, when every line felt handcrafted.
