KOWA started because every budgeting app I tried wanted my bank login, or an aggregator sitting in the middle with permanent access. I didn't want either. So KOWA reads the statement file you download from your bank (CSV, Excel, OFX or PDF) and sorts it into categories. Rules and your own history go first; the AI is only asked about merchants the app has never seen, with names and IBANs masked before anything leaves the server. No cookies, no trackers, EU hosting, three languages.
