What's great
What needs improvement
Approval process transparency. They require 3 months of payment processing history to approve new businesses but don't disclose this anywhere on their website. I spent a week going through their verification process — fixing my refund policy within 14 minutes of their request, answering a detailed questionnaire — only to be rejected at the end because I'm a new business without processing history. Impossible catch-22 that wastes founders' time. If you're launching a new SaaS, don't bother — they won't tell you upfront that you don't qualify.
Does Paddle support trials, coupons, and add-ons?
I wouldn't know — they rejected my account before I could use any features. They require 3 months of payment processing history from new businesses, which they don't disclose until after you've completed their verification process.
What are the MoR legal responsibilities Paddle assumes?
Can't speak to this as I was never approved. Their compliance team rejected me for being a new business with no processing history — a requirement not mentioned anywhere on their website.
What uptime and SLA does Paddle commit to?
Unknown — never got past the approval stage. What I can say is their support takes 2+ days to respond and their approval process took over a week just to end in rejection for an undisclosed requirement.
