I’m building Reelpen, a browser-based 3D scene builder for storyboarding, previsualization and AI video references. Reelpen lets creators arrange characters and environments, plan movement, direct cameras and export reference videos or PNG frames. Compatible AI assistants can inspect and edit permitted scenes through an authenticated MCP connection. My goal is to make shot planning easier for creators who want more control over their AI video workflow. Reelpen is currently in free beta; external AI assistants and video-generation services have separate access rules and charges. I’m here to share what we build and learn from filmmakers, creators and the MCP community.
