I built NotchWise because I was lying to myself about Anki. Every morning I'd tell myself "I'll do my reviews after lunch." After lunch it became "after dinner." After dinner it became "first thing tomorrow." Tomorrow it became 460 due cards instead of 400, and the cycle got worse. The thing is, I didn't actually mind doing 5 cards. Or 10.
