"Sirius is an open end-to-end standalone speech and vision based intelligent personal assistant (IPA) service similar to Apple’s Siri, Google’s Google Now, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Amazon’s Echo. Sirius implements the core functionalities of an IPA including speech recognition, image matching, natural language processing and a question-and-answer system."

Pretty cool that it has speech, text, and image recognition. I'd love to have the image piece in Siri, where I could take a photo of something like a flower or a structure and ask for information on it (Jelly meets Wolfram Alpha?).

@thetylerhayes Google Image search works really well — so I imagine Glass would have enabled this natively had they hadn't gone back to the drawing board.

This looks very promising.

@thetylerhayes @chrismessina A lot of Google's contextual knowledge and in this case recognition and reverse search has been a talent acquisition....Google buying 2 companies in this space in the last 3 years. I think when their are more companies and open-sourced inatives like this that in essence put the pressure on the really insanely large and unfocused...UNFOCUSED companies to innovate and focus on being the best at core disciplines such as the next evolution of search it is when we truly start to see something incredible happen.

Wow... an open source masculine version of Siri... I'll definitely be looking into this. AWESOME!
