@bentossell Correct: they just announced to refund everybody, setup a new team to lift of with a new 'strategy' https://www.kickstarter.com/proj... I respect that they talk transparent about giving up or better suspend their original idea and continue with a consumer version of their project.
For me this development is sad because their housed turbine approach would be the breakthrough when it comes to inspection. I was awaiting a laser scanner and 360° mapping system on their platform to inspect inside chimneys, towers and bridges.
Also there is a business case to check large car logistic parking lots for intruders and also for free spots to park cars. Drones could help but open propellers are considered as dangerous by workers liability insurance. This housed version could have bypassed a lot of discussions.
