the max file size is really small for a video compressor, and although webm's may be better in some cases they are non standard and many services don't support them. 8mb is small enough for most services so if your video is under 8mb you usually wouldn't need a compressor to send it across the we.

8 MB max file size? In this day and age that's a pretty small video file size to begin with. My video compression needs are closer to 100MB+ for 1080 and 200MB+ for 4k :/

@shimmb@jishjash I think 8MB is a server limitation.. (I hope 😅)
I find this ideal for very short clips like video backgrounds (on home and landing pages, animations, short mini-demos and tutorials) that need to be impacting the least possible on the overall file-size and load time of a webpage. Well-done.

Compress up to 60%
Google's new VP9 codec for WebM format video files offer significant savings on bitrate for practically idential quality video files. Compressify uses an algorithm to automatically detect the optimal reduced bitrate and re-encodes the file, compressing video files by 20-60% with visually identical frames and viritually the same browser compatibility. For best results, compress from your source video.
