zqlcrab is a fast, lightweight, open-source database desktop client for SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Built in Rust with Zed’s GPUI instead of Electron, it delivers a responsive 120 FPS native interface, in-place data editing with staged changeset review, a SQL console, visual EXPLAIN plans, schema tools, query history, and CSV, JSON, Markdown, and SQL export. Hi Product Hunt! I built zqlcrab because I wanted a database client that feels like a native developer tool, not a browser wrapped in a desktop shell. It’s written in Rust and rendered with GPUI. Today it supports SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, with a fast SQL console, editable data grid, schema viewer, query history, visual EXPLAIN plans, and staged changes so writes can be reviewed before commit. zqlcrab is open source under Apache 2.0 and ships builds for macOS, Linux, and Windows.
