Zipseal is a native Mac app for sending files privately. Pick files in Finder and choose Secure share. Zipseal makes an AES-encrypted ZIP, generates a password you can read out loud, and writes a short note that tells the recipient how to open it on a Mac or on Windows. It also opens ZIP, 7z, RAR and other archives, so you can see what's inside and extract only what you need. Everything runs on your Mac. No account, no subscription.

Hey Product Hunt,
I needed to send a password-protected ZIP from my Mac. Making the ZIP was easy enough. Sending the password separately and explaining how to open the file took more work, so I built Zipseal.
Pick your files in Finder and choose Secure share. Zipseal creates an encrypted ZIP, generates a strong password, and gives you a short note for the recipient: "On a Mac, double-click and type the password. On Windows, open it with 7-Zip."
When someone sends you an archive, you can see what's inside and extract only what you need.
It's my first Swift app. I built it with help from AI agents. I decided how sharing should work and tested it in everyday use.
Everything runs on your Mac. It's a one-time purchase, $6.99 until November 17.
If you try it, I'd love to hear what you send with it.
