I built ZingoTools to solve a problem I kept running into: most free online tools aren't actually free.
You search for a unit converter, a password generator or a file converter β and you get a site that works twice before hitting a paywall, adds a watermark to your output, or uploads your files to a server you've never heard of. The free tier exists to frustrate you into paying.
I wanted to build the opposite of that. Every tool on ZingoTools is completely free, with no sign-up required and no hidden limits and privacy assured. The file converter processes everything in your browser β files never leave your device β because that's how it should work when someone is converting a contract or a medical document.
The assistive tools category came out of conversations with teachers and parents who were spending money on basic accessibility software. A visual timer, a reading ruler, a dyslexia text formatter β these are simple tools that anyone should be able to access for free. Those pages will never have ads.
We've grown from 6 tools to 15+ across general utilities, finance calculators and assistive tools, with a blog covering practical tips. Still early days, but the core belief hasn't changed: useful tools should just be free.
