Zeteo is budgeting that splits. Link your accounts through Plaid. Access is read-only, so Zeteo never moves money. Every transaction, budget and bill lands in one place. Send any synced bank charge to a group: rent, groceries, a trip. Everyone sees who owes whom. Get paid back through PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Interac e-Transfer, Wise or Revolut. Zeteo opens their app or copies the details. Free to start, with 14 days of Premium and no card required.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Prateek, the founder of Zeteo. I'm based in Vancouver.
For years I ran my money in two apps: one for budgeting, one for splitting costs with friends and family. The breaking point was a five-day trip with three friends. I'd put most of it on my credit card, so afterwards I sat there typing every charge into the splitting app by hand. Then my budget app told me I'd blown way past my limit, because it counted the whole trip as my spending. My real share was about a quarter of it.
Nothing did both jobs, so I built Zeteo: budgeting that splits.
Splitting (free)
- Tap any bank or card charge and add it to a group. Date, amount and merchant come straight from your bank, so no retyping.
- Smart Split (Premium): snap the receipt and everyone taps what they ordered. The salad person doesn't pay for the steak.
- Spent in euros, pesos or yen? It converts to the group's currency at that day's rate and keeps the original amount.
- Comment on any shared expense, nudge a friend who owes you (once a day at most), and export any group to CSV.
- Settle up in a couple of taps with PayPal, Venmo, Cash App or Revolut. For Zelle, Interac e-Transfer or Wise it copies your payment details. The money never goes through Zeteo.
Budgeting
- Your budget counts only your share. Pay $100 for dinner for four and your budget shows $25.
- Search and filter every transaction, plus home and lock screen widgets.
Premium adds Safe to spend, Insights (top merchants, net worth, cash-flow forecast), a subscriptions list that flags price increases, budget alerts, and a shareable Month in Review card that can hide the amounts.
Bank linking is read-only through Plaid. Zeteo sees transactions and can never move money.
Every new account gets 14 days of full Premium. No card needed, and nothing is charged when it ends. The free plan keeps one linked bank account, two budgets and unlimited groups. Splitting and settling stay free either way.
I'd love for you to try splitting a real charge with someone you share costs with. I'm here all day answering questions, and honest feedback is very welcome.
