If you use LinkedIn, X, or YouTube, you probably know the feeling: feeds full of promoted posts, suggested content, and so much AI-generated content that you scroll past real posts without noticing. I built Zenfeed, a small Chrome extension, to fix that for myself. It hides promoted and suggested posts, blocks your own keywords, and lets you Rest from AI on a timer — AI posts hide, then come back automatically. 100% local. No backend, no tracking, no account. Free, no ads, no upsell.

Hey — maker here.
I spend a lot of time on LinkedIn and X, and lately my feed has been mostly
ads, algorithm suggestions, and AI posts. There was so much of it
that I kept missing the posts from people I actually follow. So I built a
small Chrome extension to clean that up for myself, and figured other people
probably feel the same way.
Zenfeed runs 100% locally — no backend, no tracking, no account needed. The
feature I'm most proud of is Rest from AI: turn it on for 15-60 minutes and
it hides AI-generated posts for that window, then brings everything back
automatically when the timer ends.
It also blocks promoted/suggested posts and lets you block by your own
keywords. Nothing gets deleted — collapsed posts turn into a small bar you
can click to bring back anytime. It now works on LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
It's free, no ads, no upsell. It's a one-person project, so if something's
broken or you want a feature, tell me here — I read everything.
