Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Sophia, the maker of ThumbnailGrab.
This started from a small, annoying problem. Every time I wanted a reference thumbnail — to study what was working in a niche, mock up a slide, or check my own uploads — I'd end up on some sketchy site full of pop-ups, or digging through page source just to find the image URL. I figured a clean, no-nonsense version should exist, so I built one.
What it does: paste any YouTube video, Short, or livestream link (or just the video ID) and it instantly shows you every thumbnail size that actually exists for that video — from full 1280×720 HD down to the smaller ones — and lets you download the JPG in one click. No signup, no watermark, no browser extension.
There are also a few extras I kept wishing for: a bulk downloader (up to 20 videos at once), a thumbnail resizer for common social and ad dimensions, and a Shorts-specific grabber.
It's completely free. I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially on what other tools or sizes would be useful, and anything that feels clunky. I'll be here all day answering. 🙏
(Quick note: thumbnails are usually copyrighted by the creator, so the tool's meant for personal reference, research, and reviewing your own channel — not republishing someone else's work.)
