Hi Product Hunt — I'm the indie developer behind Yixiu. I built it because I wanted a sleep-sounds app I could just open and use. Every app I tried asked for an account before it would play a sound, showed ads while I was winding down, or kept a streak that made me feel bad on the nights I skipped. That felt backwards for something meant to be calm.
So Yixiu has none of that. No account. No ads. No streaks. You open it, pick a sound, set a timer if you want, and close it. Inside: 64 sounds — nature scenes, classical works (Debussy, Satie, Bach, Beethoven), AI-assisted originals made for this app, and meditation tracks. A good part of the library is free, and the free tier is meant to be genuinely usable, not a countdown to a paywall.
