how often does the word list actually change day to day, or is it pulling from a fixed bank? curious if hardcore players will start memorizing it after a few weeks
@hediyedilli Good question. New word every day — three of them, actually, one each for Training Wheels / Fair Fight / Ego Death, same word for everyone on that day. Each is drawn from a hand-curated, frequency-tuned pool of a few hundred words per difficulty, and those pools only ever grow — so it's the better part of a year per track before repeats are even a question. But the memorization angle is exactly why I leaned so hard on the character: even if you knew the word, the replay value is Yapoleon's reaction to how you got there, which is generated fresh every game and never the same twice. And Themed mode skips the bank entirely — he invents the secret word around a topic, so that's effectively endless. So I'm not too worried about the hardcore crowd running dry. 🙂
Tried it on medium and the AI emperor's roast after I missed three in a row genuinely made me laugh. The emoji hints are a nice touch too, way better than just a definition.
@kkuruscu9317 Ha — that's the exact moment I built the whole thing for. And the fun part on my end: that roast wasn't canned. Yapoleon actually reads your board and riffs on how you fumbled it, so nobody gets the same burn twice. The emoji hints are meant to be a clue, not a crutch, so glad they landed. Try Ego Death when you're feeling brave — he gets meaner. 😈
