Wortwise turns German vocabulary into a daily practice habit. Choose A1, A2, B1 or B2, explore topics such as food, work and travel, and practise with flashcards, English meanings, examples, listening and active recall. Use practical missions to connect words to everyday situations, save words for later, and track what needs review. Start at your current level and try it in your browser without signing up.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Bhanu, the maker of Wortwise.
Wortwise started with a simple question: how do you turn a long German vocabulary list into something you actually practise every day?
It began as an A1 vocabulary tool, then grew through feedback. Learners wanted A2, B1, B2 support, flashcards, and words organised around everyday topics like food, work, health and travel. That feedback shaped the product.
Today, Wortwise lets you:
- Start at A1, A2, B1 or B2 without unlocking earlier levels.
- Study vocabulary by topic, with English meanings and examples.
- Practise with flashcards, listening and active recall.
- Follow a daily plan with new words and reviews.
- Try practical missions, such as ordering breakfast.
Some of the most useful improvements came from simple questions:
“How do I go to the next flashcard?” and “Where should I start?”
Those pushed me to make navigation clearer and add walkthroughs for the site and individual features.
You can try it in your browser without signing up.
I’d love feedback from German learners and teachers:
try one topic and a few flashcards. What feels useful, and where do you get stuck?
Thanks for checking it out!
