Most productivity apps treat you like a machine. They give you massive dashboards, and infinite backlogs. Worth It is an AI-powered life engine designed around the "Fog of War." Tell the AI your goals. It gives you exactly ONE hyper-specific quest to do today. Complete a quest, log your experience, and the AI rewrites it into a cinematic, 1st-person novel entry. Hit a wall? No budget? The engine instantly recalculates, weaving rest, novelty, and alternative routes into your timeline.
Hi Product Hunt! I’m the solo developer behind Worth It.
As a recent CS grad navigating a brutal job market, I realized something: the tools we use to achieve our goals are making us miserable. Looking at a massive 5-year plan or a 100-item to-do list causes instant paralysis.
I got sick of productivity apps that treated me like a robot that just needed more "optimization." I wanted an app that cared about the plot of my life, not just the output.
So, I built Worth It. It operates on a "Fog of War" mechanic.
Here’s how it works:
1. You feed it your threads (build a startup, run a marathon, learn guitar).
2. It acts as a Game Master, looking at your budget, free time, and energy.
3. It hides the big picture and gives you exactly ONE highly-specific, slightly unconventional quest to complete today.
4. When you finish, it writes a cinematic, 1st-person diary entry of your journey called the Chronicle. The AI then dynamically adjust user's state by adding or modifying various factors, which then determine the next step.
No dashboards. No min-maxing. Just the next step.
I just added an anonymous onboarding flow, so you can try the engine and get your first quest without even making an account.
I’d absolutely love your feedback on the UI vibe and the AI's "Game Master" persona. I'll be here all day answering questions!
