I was tired of using Excel for my workouts and MyFitnessPal for my food, so I built WorkoutPal to combine both in a clean, ad-free app. It tracks your gym sessions (sets, reps, rest times), manages your diet (macros, calories, barcode scanner), and lets you share workouts with friends to stay motivated. No bloat, no ads, just a simple way to track your fitness progress.

Hi everyone,
I'm the creator of WorkoutPal. I spent the last few months building this app because I couldn't find a clean tool that tracked both my training and my food. I was always switching between MyFitnessPal and Google Sheets, which was super annoying.
So I put everything in one place. You can log your workouts, scan your food to track macros, and share sessions with your friends.
This is the V1 on iOS. It's fully functional but I have a lot of updates planned. I'd love to get your honest feedback and ideas on how to improve it.
Thanks for checking it out!

how does the barcode scanner handle regional food databases or smaller brands that arent in the main us database

@nihalb7282 Hi Nihal ! At the moment, the app uses an open-source database called Open Food Facts, which contains millions of products from around the world, including the United States. This database relies on contributions from its community to keep product information up to date. If some local products haven't been added yet, the barcode scanner won't be able to recognize them. However, WorkoutPal lets you add your own custom foods, so this won't prevent you from managing your diet effectively.

Curious how the social sharing actually works, can friends see my full history or just specific workouts I choose to post?

@bedirhantrgk Hi Bedirhan ! At the moment, activity sharing works as follows: in the Settings menu, if the "Share my activity" option is enabled, your ongoing workouts will be visible to all your WorkoutPal friends while you're training. They can follow your workout in real time, see which exercise you're currently performing, how many sets you have left, copy your workout to add it to their own library, and more. Everything takes place entirely within the app. Your question is a great one and has actually given me some ideas for taking this feature even further, especially when it comes to sharing workouts on social media.

Finally ditched my old spreadsheets for this. The barcode scanner for food logging is way faster than I expected, and the rest timer actually keeps me honest between sets.
