ork In Order is dead-simple job scheduling and work-order tracking built for solo and 2-person trade crews — electricians and HVAC pros to start. Track jobs, schedule your team, and let AI write your job summaries automatically when a visit is marked complete. Techs get a real mobile app to check in, snap photos, and close out jobs from the field. It's free forever for one technician — no trial timer, no credit card. You only pay when your crew grows past one tech, starting at $49/mo.

ey Product Hunt 👋
I built Work In Order because field-service software is a saturated space, but it's all priced and built for teams — the solo electrician or 2-person HVAC crew still tracking jobs on paper, whiteboards, or group texts gets charged the same $49–59/mo from day one as a 10-truck operation, for a pile of features they'll never touch.
So Work In Order is free forever for one technician — no trial timer, no credit card, no "upgrade before day 14" nag. You get real scheduling, a technician mobile app, and AI that writes your job summaries for you the moment a job's marked complete. You only start paying when you add a second tech.
Started with electricians and HVAC crews since that's where the pain is sharpest, but the core (customers, work orders, scheduling) isn't trade-specific.
Would love feedback — especially from anyone currently running a small crew off texts and spreadsheets. What's the first thing that would make you switch?

Love how lightweight this looks for solo crews. One thing that would make it way more useful for my HVAC guys: add a quick way for customers to e-sign completion on the tech's phone right at the door. Would cut down on all the "did we really finish this job" texts we get a week later.

honestly looks really useful for small crews. one thing though, an offline mode for the mobile app would be huge since techs are often in basements or job sites with spotty signal. like if they could check in and snap photos without service and have it sync once they're back online, that would basically make the app bulletproof for field work

finally something that doesn't feel bloated for a one or two person shop. the AI summary trick sounds handy for closing out jobs without typing a novel on a phone.

Honestly love that there's no trial timer on the free tier, that alone makes me actually want to try it instead of feeling pressured into signing up. And writing job summaries with AI when a visit closes out is such a smart thing for solo crews who dread the paperwork at the end of a long day.

honestly the "free forever for one tech, no credit card" move is pretty bold and it actually makes me trust the product more. the AI writing job summaries when a visit closes is such a practical touch for solo trades, saves so much end-of-day paperwork.
