Wingmann is a relationship app for people who are done with casual dating. Before you see a single profile, you talk to a psychologist about what you actually want. About 65% don’t get in. If you do, you get 3 matches a day and a Wingmate, a real person who helps you get to the first date. No endless swiping, no chats that go nowhere. You only pay ₹500 when a date is confirmed. Live across Indian metros on iOS and Android.

Hello everyone, I’m Varsh
A few years ago, I was on Shark Tank India pitching a glucometer that didn’t need a needle. I’m a biotech person. Dating was never supposed to be my thing.
But somewhere along the way, I noticed how lonely the people around me were. Not because they were alone, but because they were trying so hard. Friends with full match lists and empty weekends. People who’d been texting someone for a month and still didn’t know if they wanted the same life. One of my closest friends spent almost a year on apps. She once showed me her phone with more than 40 conversations on it. She’d met two of them. Both times she came home and said “he’s nice but he wants something else.”
I grew up in a small village in Nellore. Nobody there found their person on an app. Someone who knew you, really knew you, would sit you down and say “I think you should meet them.” I didn’t realise how much that mattered until I saw what dating looks like without it.
That’s what Krishna and I are trying to bring back with Wingmann.
You start by talking to a psychologist about what you actually want. Not what sounds good on a profile. Then your Wingmate, a real person, gets to know you, writes your profile like a letter, and picks your matches with us. Three a day. When you both say yes, we help you meet.
It’s free. You pay ₹500 only when a date is confirmed. If we don’t get you to a real date, we don’t deserve your money.
3,000+ people have signed up, and we’ve said no to about 65% of them. That’s been the hardest part for me. Some days it feels like the right call, and some days I wonder if I’m being too strict. I’d honestly love to know what you think.
We’re live in most Indian cities. Wherever you are, I’d love to hear:
What’s the most exhausting part of dating for you right now?
Would you let someone else pick who you meet?
Is paying per date fairer than paying monthly?
I’ll be here all day reading and replying to every single comment.
