Does it work with the Snipping Tool output, or do I have to take the screenshot from within the app itself?

@hseyinbabamcnq Of course! 😊 You can import any screenshot you've already taken with the Windows Snipping Tool or any other app and start editing right away.
If you prefer, you can also capture screenshots directly with Windowshot. It has a global shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + S) that works anywhere on Windows, and you can customize the shortcut to whatever you like.

Does it have any built-in annotation or markup tools, or is it strictly focused on styling the look of the screenshot itself?

@mertrstemobygx It does, Windowshot is not just for styling screenshots. You can annotate your screenshots with arrows, shapes, text, blur/pixelation, and other markup tools before exporting. The goal is to give you everything you need to make a screenshot both clear and good-looking, all in one place.

Love how the screenshot previews show the actual shadow and rounded corner rendering instead of a flat mockup, makes the value obvious the second you open the page.

Finally a screenshot tool that doesn't make me fight with borders or weird padding. The one-click preset for clean presentations saved me ten minutes on my last deck.

The auto-cropping around windows looks really clean, no awkward edges or leftover pixels. Nice touch that it actually does the hard part for you instead of dumping you into Paint.

Cleaned up a cluttered screenshot of my desktop setup in about 30 seconds, the auto-crop actually understood what I wanted to capture without me fiddling with edges. Definitely landing in my dock.
