WhisperBud is a native macOS dictation app. Hold fn key and talk anywhere on your Mac, and rambling speech becomes clear, formatted text in a blink, processed entirely on your device. Your audio never leaves your machine. It works in every app, email, cursor, claude code, Slack, notes, and pastes right at your cursor. Not a raw transcript: fillers are removed, punctuation added, and it learns the names and terms you use.
how does it actually learn the names and terms over time? like is it actively training on my speech or just storing some kind of custom vocabulary list locally
@kemalcakandg84 So whenever you correct something, it will store that in its dictionary. And next time, it will produce the correct output.
The on-device processing and fn key hold is such a clean choice, makes it feel built for power users who care about privacy without any extra friction.
