I built websites for tradespeople for 8 years: plumbers, electricians, cleaners. The pattern was almost always the same. The site looked good on day one, and two years later nothing on it had changed. Old prices, old phone number, services they no longer offer.
It wasn't laziness. The owner couldn't describe what they wanted changed, and the tools were too confusing to try on their own.
That's the problem I built WeBoss around, and I'm still learning where non-technical owners get stuck. So I'd like to hear from others who build for clients:
What is the first thing your clients fail to update themselves?
Have you found any tool or handover method that a non-technical owner really keeps using?
If you could remove one thing from website builders to make them simpler, what would it be?
