Is it like polar steps, because in PolarSteps as well I can share the travel history and make it public as well? How does your product compare with the PolarSteps?
@pratikkinage Polarsteps is a travel journal; it's about sharing beautiful memories publicly. Wayprint is the opposite: private, compliance-focused, built for when life asks you to prove where you've been. Think visa applications, security clearances, residency processes. Polarsteps helps you remember adventures. Wayprint helps you prove them. Different jobs entirely, though if you use Polarsteps, your export could actually become a source @Wayprint reconstructs from.
A small thing that would help a lot: let me tag places with who I was with, so when I look back later it doesnt just show "Lisbon, March" but actually reminds me it was that weekend trip with my college friends. Would make the whole history feel way more personal.
@kaanyir0 This is already on the roadmap, and your framing of it is exactly right: "Lisbon, March" is data, but "that weekend with my college friends" is a memory. The two should coexist. We're building toward trip companions as a feature. Appreciate you putting it so clearly; it's gone straight into the product notes.
One feature id love to see is automatic trip detection based on location patterns, like grouping nearby photos and checkins into a single trip without manual input. That would save a lot of cleanup time and make the history view way more useful out of the box.
@berkayksalspie Fully agree; manual cleanup is the enemy of a complete record. We're working on automatic detection from location patterns, photo clusters, and calendar data as the next major capability. The goal is that Wayprint notices a trip before you remember to log it. You've described the experience we're building toward almost exactly. Stay close; this is coming.
Finally tried Wayprint and honestly the trip reconstruction feature is kind of genius, it pieced together a weekend hike I completely forgot about from my location history. Wish I had this sooner for tax season honestly.

Most travel history tools ask you to remember everything perfectly. We built it to work backwards from what you already have. Tax season is actually a use case we hadn't fully considered; curious what you were tracking. Would love to hear what else came up in the reconstruction if you're open to sharing.
The idea of a single private log just for your own travels feels refreshingly personal compared to yet another social map app. Love that the export option is built right in instead of buried behind a paywall.
Love how the export feature feels like it was built for actual trip reconstruction rather than just dumping raw data, and the privacy-first framing is refreshingly restrained instead of loud.
