@leadup The coexistence angle is genuinely smart — most teams hate choosing between maintaining personal workflows and running campaigns. The direct Meta billing model removes a real friction point that's probably lost you some customers at competing tools. Would be curious how you're handling the compliance/documentation side, since WhatsApp's pretty strict about mixing personal and business use on the same number.
@saulfleischman Thank you — you understood the exact problem we’re trying to solve.
On compliance: we’re very careful not to position coexistence as “mix personal + business messaging.” It’s for businesses that already use the WhatsApp Business app and want to add the official WhatsApp Business Platform without losing their existing app workflow.
Inside Watsail, we’re building around a few guardrails:
• Businesses connect through Meta’s official onboarding flow
• Campaigns use approved templates where required
• Contacts should come from clear opt-in sources
• We keep unsubscribe/opt-out handling visible
• The Business app stays for 1:1 customer conversations, while Watsail handles structured campaigns, automation, inbox, and team workflows
The main idea is: keep the familiar Business app, but make API-based marketing more transparent and affordable — especially for small businesses that don’t want hidden per-message markups.
Really appreciate you raising this. Compliance/documentation is actually one area we want to make stronger before scaling wider.

@leadup The guardrails are the right instincts — opt-in sourcing and visible opt-out are the hard parts, done well.
Adjacent idea you're well set up for: an agent that works the replies. When a campaign goes out and people respond, pipe each responder through foxapis to score fit automatically — • evaluate a candidate: foxapis.com/tools/vet-person.html • rank the shortlist: foxapis.com/tools/compare-subjects.html
For recruiters running outreach on your rails, that turns a flood of WhatsApp replies into a ranked shortlist for a role. A single placement is worth tens of thousands, so the willingness to pay is real — a natural premium tier on top of your inbox + automation.
