the synced play button approach is genuinely clever - skipping the "start exactly when i say go" awkwardness most watch party tools ignore. nice that the streaming detection seems to work across the big services too.

Synced playback with friends on Netflix actually worked smoothly in my browser, and the chat right next to the video felt natural. Nice touch that the watch hits everyone's history automatically without extra steps.

Finally tried this with a friend across timezones and the play button actually synced perfectly on Netflix, which I did not expect. The shared history afterward is a really nice touch, makes it feel like we actually watched something together.

The browser extension is a nice touch but it would be huge if you could also schedule watch parties ahead of time with calendar invites so friends can block it out instead of scrambling in a group chat.

The synced playback actually worked across Netflix without weird lag, which I was skeptical about. Side chats while watching a show with friends and getting automatic logs afterward feels like something that should've existed already.
