Upvoted and Congrats on the launch! Kudos to the team on the amazing design and smooth UI. As someone who loves learning and watching education youtube channels, this is the app I need to keep me in check.
Looks fantastic! I've definitely been struggling to learn things because they were so dry and boring. Looks like with Walnut I will be able to have fun while learning, and it can captivate my attention. I'm really excited for this and can't wait to see more content!!
Do you create all the content and explainers in-house or can I build an interactive learning course with quizzes with your tech that i can keep private and/or choose to share with the public? I run www.daim.io which is a Registered Investment Advisor for Bitcoin and Digital Assets and have been trying to find a way to help clients/precoiners learn about Bitcoin. I have a series of articles, videos and podcasts that I share with individuals but getting it all at once overloads and overwhelms them. it would be great to be able to build a progressive curriculum that breaks the learning up, have them take quizzes so they retain information better and allows them to keep going so they learn in steps.
@callmethebear I'm planning to open up the tech for Walnut as a platform for anyone to create courses for themselves. If you'd like, I'd love to personally onboard you to the (now private) creators platform, send me your availability to harrison0723 at gmail and I'll get in touch with you!

So far I think a Walnut is awesome! There was a bug in the android version that would make the app only show a white screen but it was fixed today. The bug persists on iOS though... please fix it!
There is not currently a lot of content but I have high hopes.
Do you create all of the comprehensional questions yourself or are they made available by TED Ed?
@anna_0x Thank you Anna! I discovered the bug yesterday and pushed the fixes (iOS takes awhile to approve these changes - hopefully updates should be available in the next few days!) May I ask if there's any particular topic you're interested in seeing more? All the raw questions come from TED-Ed, Walnut simply gamifies them with visuals and sometimes changes the form a little bit to make them more interactive :)

@harrison0723 cool, I wasn’t aware that Ted Ed actually has questions (because I’ve only ever watched the YouTube videos).
I’m mostly interested in biology, world history and technology.
About the bug, I was actually meaning to send you an email for a whole week but you ended up fixing it before I did it 😅 I even made a nice GIF that illustrated the issue.
@anna_0x Haha, that's nice of you. May I ask how you're using Walnut? You mentioned that you tried the app on both iOS and Android so I was just curious
Report
@harrison0723 Hmmmm I'm not sure I understand the question. "How" I use it? I open the app, watch videos, then answer the multiple choice questions. Or do you mean which subjects and why?
Hi PH community!
I created Walnut because I find YouTube a very distracting place to learn, and that's just how their algorithms work — to keep you entertained and not necessarily learned.
Walnut is a new and distraction-free way to learn with educational videos. Every video is followed by a set of interactive quizzes to help you reinforce what you just learned.
If you're feeling confident, you can also try out Challenges. You'd get a personalized Path based on your current knowledge level. A Path is like a playlist, but with checkpoints and game rewards.
I'm looking for your feedback — what do you like and not like? What do you wish to see more of? I want to hear them all.
Cheers!
