What do you think? …

This is such a no-brainer! I don’t get why more dApps don’t integrate this sort of API? This totally abstracts away the technicalities of blockchain, that imo don’t have a place in users’ minds HAHA. 😂 Can I just ask how you guys tackle security and user control of their keys? Or is that like up to the devs that will use Wally? 😁

@dante_cardines Thank you Dante! Yes, we heard from customers and prospects that a backend integration with our API The wallets we generate are MPC. So the private key is split into 3 keyshares: 1 by the end user, 1 by the app developer, and 1 by Wally. That way no one party has controls of the private key, but the end user and app developer have the ability to perform any blockchain-based interaction simply. And we also give end users the ability to export their entire private key out of the system at any time. That's the high-level, but happy to dive in more!

That’s very cool! That could maybe be a section in Wally’s landing site, talking all about security concerns to handle objections 😁 jeremie_cabling

Hi Product Hunt! I’m the founder of Wally, and we’re excited to re-introduce Wally to Product Hunt as we launch our new JS SDK! Now you can give your users the ability to sign up for any dApp by creating a wallet with just their email, on top of any existing way to connect a wallet. That way more users can sign-up and onboard without having to deal with any complexities of creating a crypto wallet off-site. And you give users the option to connect an existing wallet, or create a new one easily. If you already have metamask sign up, you can copy + paste just a few lines of pre-written code to get it installed. No changes to your existing frontend/backend code needed. It also integrates seamlessly with flows like web3modal, rainbowkit, and web3onboard. What is Wally? Wally is building seamless onboarding infrastructure for Web3 apps starting with the most elegant embedded crypto wallet experience on the market. We help blockchain-enabled companies serve and acquire more customers so that together we can bridge Web2 and Web3. We previously launched our API on Product Hunt for those looking for a whole suite of solutions to make user onboarding to dApps easier. After our launch, many requested a simple frontend integration focused on wallet creation via email. So this new SDK lets you do just that in minutes. And without making any changes to your frontend or backend code. Wally’s API vs Wally’s JS SDK Previous implementations with Wally’s API required a backend integration and a separate auth stack, which didn't work for every customer. Now with the SDK, you can continue to use wallet signature based login flows like sign in with ethereum, but keep the UX familiar. If you’re looking to add wallet creation via email in any app where Metamask is already supported -> Wally SDK If you already have a web2-style auth flow, create wallets entirely on the backend for an existing user base, or have an iOS/Android native dApp -> Wally APIs Happy to chat through to find the best fit for your dApp. How do I get started? If you want to start using Wally’s SDK, you can integrate it in minutes today with this library: https://github.com/wally-xyz/wal.... You can always use a combination of the SDK and API to get the right set of features you need (paying for users’ gas fees, enabling credit card checkout, creating wallets entirely on the backend using an existing email/phone database, etc.). If you want to explore what our API can offer, check out our docs and set up your API key free here: https://app.wally.xyz/!

Hey Product Hunt! I’m Jeremie and I’m Wally’s GTM Lead. I work with our customers at all stages from figuring out if Wally is a good fit or not, to supporting them with a successful implementation. We learned a lot from the dozens of conversations with the web3 PH community after our beta launch in November. Thanks to everyone who spent time with us to help shape our new SDK! How can I help? Feel free to ask me anything in the comments below, or grab time with me here to walk through any of your dApp’s needs: https://calendly.com/d/d54-gdd-9... Excited to chat! Jeremie

@ankit_sparks Thank you for the support Ankit!

The existential challenge for web3 right now is how to encourage broader adoption of its tools and technologies beyond the early adopters. Products like this that make it easy for people to sign-up regardless of how familiar they are about crypto wallets, networks, chains, etc are going to be a game changer!
Jeremie Cabling
@winkle Spot on. Thank you so much, Jeff!

Great product! Congrats on the launch!

Great to see this SDK launched for dapp infrastructure. Let developers focus on the core use cases of their apps and leave the infrastructure to the platforms!
Jeremie Cabling
@cykho Thank you Cy -- we're super excited to see what developers using Wally have been able to do!
