What do you think? …

Really good idea. I really like this a lot. Congrats on your second! I can’t wait to give this a shot.

Awesome logo and little UX touch on "start your album" button. Interesting to hear your perspective on the pricing strategy behind going with yearly vs the traditional SaaS-like monthly?
Kirill Zubovsky
@jerry_hsiang1 Thanks Jerry! I gotta give credit where it's due. My friend @gabecouch made the icon for the app. He's a super talented illustrator. Ive done a couple of different interactions on pricing and annual seems to make the most sense (at least right now). The goal is to have an app that never goes away, so I'd rather take 1 committed user than 100 passer-by. I have no desire to build Facebook. With just enough users paying annual subscription, I can get the app on its feet and have enough cash to support further development, all without the pressure of having to grow every months at the expense of creating a valuable product. Circling back to your question - if you are not going to be serious about investing your photos into Waddle, then you are not likely to continue paying month/month, and like @jasonlk says it, customer that churns is a customer you've never had. Hope that answers it.

Neat! We've been using lifecake for 3 years now - you should check it out!
Kirill Zubovsky
@ctres Would definitely check it out, thanks. What do you love about it? Anything you dislike or want to see created?

Why it's better that Google Photos or iPhotos?
Kirill Zubovsky
@01egme Thanks for the question. It's different. Unlikely the big players we don't extract your personal information in an attempt to sell it. I personally find it creepy how much Google knows about you, including places you go, who you meet, what you look like...etc. This is meant to be an app for you, your family, and nobody else. Further, the use-case for the app is also quite narrow right now. I am not after ALL of the users in the world and don't need a hockey stick growth. So all the features are built for the use-case in mind, leaving only the necessary useful bits that people love. There are other product features I've got in mind, but they are all along the lines of family and your kids.

I like this idea! Thank you!
