How does the voting stay anonymous since you mentioned no accounts required, and does the leaderboard update in real time as new links get added during the chat?
@damla510033 The voting is not anonymous, you can exactly see what everybody voter for. Only way is to use a secret name, not your real name when joining. The leaderboard does update in real time yes.
How does the leaderboard actually break ties when two options get the same votes across the group?
@sevgieker8yl0 The leaderboard ranks by Elo rating, and equal vote counts usually don't mean equal ratings. Beating a highly-rated stay earns more points than beating a low-rated one, so two options with the same number of wins typically still have different scores.
If the ratings do land exactly equal, the one with more total wins ranks higher, and if that's tied too, the stay that was added to the party first takes the spot.
In other words: the order is always deterministic, there's no randomness, but if two options are genuinely neck-and-neck, the honest reading is that your group likes them both equally.
