Hi Product Hunt, Funny origin story for this one — I didn't set out to build a voice-to-text app. Two things were annoying me: typing prompts to ChatGPT/Claude in Russian cost noticeably more tokens than English would for the same prompt, and using an app's built-in voice mode costs even more on top of that — audio input is billed higher than text on most APIs. So I hacked together something to speak in my language, turn it into text locally, and paste clean English into the prompt box. That worked well enough that I kept extending it. A hotkey that turns speech into text anywhere is genuinely useful outside of AI prompts too — so now it also does dictation into any app, a side-by-side translator, screen OCR, recognition presets for different fields (IT, sales, etc.), voice-triggered text templates. Still local-only, still one payment instead of a subscription — that part was never up for debate for me, I just don't want another monthly charge for something this simple. Happy to answer anything — recognition accuracy for specific languages, the token-savings math, whatever. This was a "scratch my own itch" project before it was anything else, so I'm pretty deep in the details.
