Upload a video or audio file and get translated subtitles (SRT, VTT, ASS), a voice-over track and a finished video in 35 languages. One clear AI voice reads the translation while the original sound dips under each line, like a TV documentary. Pick from 179 voices, add SDH or burned-in subtitles, and see the price before you start. The engine is open source (AGPL-3.0), with a CLI and an MCP server for AI assistants. New accounts get 60 free credits.

Hi everyone, I'm Donatas, and I build Vocnu in Vilnius.
Vocnu takes a video or audio file and gives back translated subtitles, a voice-over track and a finished video in 35 languages.
It's voice-over, not lip-sync dubbing: one AI voice reads the translation while the original sound dips under each line, like a TV documentary, so the speaker's own voice and the atmosphere stay in the mix.
What it does:
Detects the spoken language and reads the subtitles or audio tracks already in your file to get names and meaning right
179 voices, each with a sample, so you can hear one before you pick it
SRT, VTT and ASS subtitles, voice-over audio, an MP4 with the original sound as a second track, burned-in and SDH subtitles
Shows the price before anything starts; credits never expire, and a failed job refunds itself
The engine is open source (AGPL-3.0), and the vocnu npm package has a CLI and an MCP server, so Claude or another assistant can translate a video for you
New accounts get 60 free credits, enough for about 10 minutes of voice-over video.
I'd love feedback from native speakers on how the voices sound in your language, and on which languages or formats you'd need next.
