Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Vocabo because every "learn while you browse" tool either disappeared or got locked down — Toucan, the one that pioneered this, was acquired by Babbel and put behind an account and a paywall, and it only ever supported ~14 languages.
Vocabo brings the idea back, free and open: it replaces individual words on any page you're reading with their translation in the language you're learning, while keeping the rest of the sentence in your own language so you always have context. Tap a word to save it with audio. No account, no study sessions — you just browse like normal and pick up vocabulary as you go.
The thing I'm most proud of: 194+ languages, including ones almost nothing else supports (Punjabi, Swahili, Welsh, Icelandic, and a lot of long-tail languages). If you're learning anything outside the big European ones, it's often the only option that actually works.
It's completely free and there's nothing to sign up for — just install and pick your language.
I'd genuinely love feedback: what language are you learning, and is it supported well? That's the area I most want to improve. 🙏
