VIDA will show you how to fix your posture, work habits, environment and equipment using computer vision and personalised questionnaires for maximum health, wellbeing and productivity (up to a 40% boost)!
Hi @shane_lowe1 - congratulations to you and the team on the launch. Exciting to see the product pivot into the opportunity brought about by the pandemic.
Are you able to (anonymously) aggregate data across all assessments to produce some topline stats about WFH health? Itβd be a great way to attract media attention, but itβd also help the wider workforce (and health organisations) understand the impact WFH is having. Weβve seen a lot of headlines about the impact on mental health; not so many about physical health.
@paul_a_smith
Hi Paul,
Sure! We just launched beta users last week but we're already getting some really interesting insights (of course all anonymised!). Definitely keen to use it for useful and interesting content and there's also really interesting avenues in what we can feed back to the employers.
Our background is obviously on the physical health side. The effects of the current situation on musculoskeletal health of the population is going to be huge! So we're very excited about what we can do to help there!
Congrats on the launch! Very timely considering Iβm still sitting at my kitchen table! Have you seen feedback from the beta or heard any feedback from your users about how the new working from home regime has affected their musculoskeletal health?
Also - Iβm curious how much of a technical challenge it was to adapt your product from one focused on clinicians using high spec cameras to one that has to work with webcams with varying levels of quality!
@eamonncarey
Hi Eamonn, we've been delighted with the amount of feedback! Though sadly, it is showing that lots of people are developing new issues. Combine that kitchen table with step counts falling through the floor and you're going to get issues. So far in our beta group around 40% of users are reporting pain areas.
It was definitely a challenge and a huge change in tech stack so that's been exciting and tiring! For now we're measuring things like muscle tightness in your shoulders which is a great predictor for MSK issues and a great first step technically. In the coming weeks we've got some much more advanced tests (like squats etc) which will massively expand the clinical information we generate. So yeah, big challenge particularly dealing with different cameras and getting 3D data from 2D cameras but super exciting features to come from it!
Time to test your posture after slouching on the sofa for the past 6 months or sitting at your desk for way too long. Every company should be using this. And, every gym that offers physical therapy should add this to their suite of tests
Thanks @kerryritz, we do have a couple of physical therapy clinics picking it up already. Current service they offer is either a pdf questionnaire they charge Β£1 each for or a video call thats Β£45 but hard to scale. So definitely think there's a great application there!
