Vindra is a private, offline journal for everyday reflection. No cloud sync, no account, no algorithm — just you and your thoughts, kept on your device. Write freely, revisit quietly, and keep your inner world exactly that: yours.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
This is my first app, and I built it because I wanted a journal that didn't ask anything of me — no sign-up, no sync, no "your entry has been backed up to the cloud." Just a quiet, private space to write.
The idea actually came from watching someone close to me journal by hand every night. She'd never trust an app with those pages — too personal, too easy for a company to lose, sell, or expose. I realized that hesitation was the whole point: a journal should feel as private as a paper notebook, even on your phone.
A few things I cared about while building this:
100% offline. Your entries never leave your device.
No account required. Open the app and start writing.
Built for quiet reflection, not habit-tracking gamification or social features.
As a solo dev building his first app, this has been a slow, deliberate process — lots of learning along the way. Would genuinely love your feedback — especially on what "private" should mean to you in a journaling app. Happy to answer anything in the comments!
