Vexelloom started as a small personal project.
I regularly needed to resize, convert and compress images, but I found myself jumping between different websites, dealing with upload limits, registration requirements, annoying restrictions and tools that weren't always straightforward.
I wanted something simpler: a place where I could get things done quickly, without worrying about where my files were going or whether I'd run out of free credits.
So I started building my own tools.
What began as a simple utility gradually grew. I added more image-processing capabilities, PDF tools, video tools and AI-powered features. I also focused on making processing happen directly in the browser wherever possible, so files don't need to be uploaded to Vexelloom's servers for processing.
Eventually, I realised this could be useful to more people than just me.
That's why I decided to make Vexelloom publicly available, free to use, and without artificial usage limits or essential features hidden behind a paywall.
I'm an independent developer, and this is something I've built because I genuinely wanted these tools to exist.
Vexelloom is still evolving, and launching on Product Hunt is an opportunity to share it with more people, learn from real users and make it better.
I hope you find it useful!
I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who regularly work with images, videos and PDFs.
Here are a few things I'd love your thoughts on:
Usability: Is Vexelloom easy to navigate? Can you find the tools you need without much effort? it's one of the things i struggled with the most to be honest.
Processing quality: How does the output quality and processing speed compare with other tools you've used?
Missing features: What image, video or PDF tools would make vexelloom more useful to you?
Privacy and trust: Does browser-based processing make you more comfortable using an online tool?
Overall experience: What feels great, what feels frustrating, and what would you change?
Real-world use: Would you use Vexelloom regularly? If not, what's stopping you?
Honest feedback is much more valuable to me than compliments. Even if something doesn't work as expected, I'd genuinely appreciate knowing about it.
