Hi Product Hunt! I built Velocel after years of modelling in Excel. It started as an internal tooling I used for myself to speed up daily processes, and without having to remember all of the various alt codes. As a developer, I was very much used to command palettes from code editors, and got the idea of introducing the same setup to the office suite. This was the birth of Velocel ("Velocity in Excel").
Velocel is a command palette for Excel: press Ctrl+Shift+K, type a few letters, and run any of 200 commands. Number formats, blue/black/green colour conventions, 2D sensitivity tables that calculate on request (named Virtual Data Tables), and a custom Formula Explorer to trace a number back to its source and navigate the dependency tree visually and effectively.
It runs locally on Windows (Excel 2016 to 365), and your workbooks never leave your computer.
