Hi Product Hunt! Solo founder here. I built ValuePair because friendship apps kept turning into browsing exercises: endless profiles, small talk, dead chats. ValuePair does the opposite. You get introduced to one person who fits your values. You both answer the same 14 questions, and each answer is revealed only when both of you have answered, so nobody can tailor their answer to yours. First impressions come from what you think, not how you look. Photos stay hidden until the end, and only appear if both people want that. The most interesting lesson from building it: my first version was strict turn-taking (you answer, then wait). It felt elegant and it killed almost every pair; completion was around 18%. I rebuilt it self-paced and async, reveals still fire only when both sides have answered, and completion jumped to about 85%. It's in open beta: free, no ads, and matching will never be paywalled. It works worldwide: the distance filter is optional and off by default, and since the conversation is async and self-paced, time zones don't get in the way.
