Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of UnderTree.
I built it for the moments when journaling feels too hard, but you still need a quiet place to put your thoughts. Instead of starting with a blank page, you can simply chat, capture a small reflection, and watch your personal forest grow over time.
UnderTree includes AI-guided journaling, mood tracking, editable memories, and a pet companion to make self-care feel a little lighter.
It's now available on iOS and Android. I'd love to hear: what makes it easier, or harder, for you to keep a journaling habit?

Love the gentle vibe here, the pet companion idea is really sweet. One thing that would help me stick with it is a weekly recap that pulls out recurring themes or mood triggers from the week, so I can actually see patterns instead of just a list of entries.

@ayazklkylvj Thank you, Ayaz! That’s a really valuable point. We want the recap to go beyond simply listing entries and help people notice recurring themes and possible mood triggers. We’ll keep this in mind as we develop the reflection experience further.

the pet companion mechanic is such a thoughtful touch, it makes opening the app feel like checking in with a friend rather than another task on your list

@sareevga Thank you, Sare! We love that it felt like a small moment of calm—that’s very close to what we want UnderTree to be. And we’re really glad the mood insights felt grounded and helpful.
