TvRecommendationBridge catches a Google TV / Fire TV recommendation click and opens it in Nuvio, Stremio, Plex, Jellyfin, WuPlay, or Wholphin — whichever you picked. Native Fire TV support, no root required.
Google TV's own recommendations kept opening the wrong app for me — click a movie, it'd land in whatever random streaming app instead of the one I actually use. Built TvRecommendationBridge to catch that click and redirect it properly.
What started two weeks ago as a simple redirect grew fast once I started using it myself: added a Trakt-style watchlist/history/continue-watching layer, then Fire TV support (a completely different mechanism, since Fire OS doesn't expose the same accessibility APIs), then a referral program to grow without ad spend.
Built almost all of it with Claude Code — I handle product/pricing decisions and do all the real-device testing (my TCL TV had its own background-kill quirks to fight), but the implementation itself is mostly AI-written. Happy to talk about that split, the Fire TV vs Google TV diffeGoogle TV's own recommendations kept opening the wrong app for me — click a movie, it'd land in whatever random streaming app instead of the one I actually use.
