I’m a DJ and music producer, so I know how strange the moment after finishing a track can feel.
You can pour weeks or months into a few minutes of music, send it everywhere through free submissions or paid pitching, and still be left wondering whether anyone even pressed play.
We also live in a time when almost everything we hear or watch reaches us through recommendation systems we cannot see. We rarely know why one song appears while another disappears.
TuneBid started with one simple thought:
What if every song could introduce itself with the 60 seconds its musician believes in most?
It became my small act of resistance against the black box.
Each musician personally chooses and clips the 60 seconds of their own track they believe in most. That excerpt becomes the preview.
Getting onto the TuneBid chart starts with the musician. They place the first paid Bid themselves.
If the preview moves you, you can hear the full track on Spotify or Apple Music.
If you want more people to hear the song, you can add your own Bid to help it climb higher and reach more listeners.
There is another part of this story that I still find a little hard to believe.
I never drew a single screen in Figma. I never wrote a single line of code myself. Ten days after I started, TuneBid was ready to launch.
I built it through conversations with AI, constant testing, corrections, changed decisions, and a lot of iteration. I still had to decide what the product should be and keep pushing until it felt right, but AI gave me a way to turn those decisions into something real.
I’m genuinely grateful for that.
