What inspired you to build this?
Pure personal need. I wanted one place to see my whole financial picture — investments, properties, debts, income — and every spreadsheet I built for myself turned into a mess I dreaded opening. I looked around for a FIRE tracker that fit how I actually think about money and didn't find one, especially nothing built for a Spanish/EUR context, so I built it for myself first and shipped it once it was actually useful.
What problem were you trying to solve?
Two things: keeping an honest, up-to-date view of my net worth without manual re-entry every month, and turning that data into something actionable — not just a number, but a clear read on what's actually moving me toward or away from financial independence, so I know what to change instead of just watching a dashboard.
How did your approach evolve while building it?
I started with the standard FIRE math — 4% withdrawal rate, hit your number, retire. Working with my own numbers, it never felt real: withdrawing from a portfolio is a very different psychological and practical bet than living off income that just shows up. So I rebuilt the core model around net passive income vs. living expenses — rent, dividends, whatever comes in monthly, measured against what you actually spend. FIRE becomes the month your passive income covers your life, not a lump sum you're afraid to touch.
