Day 1 update from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 — two things happened today that made this launch worth it.
1) A guy in Honduras downloaded the app, created the first "Entrepreneurs in Tegucigalpa" group and invited his own friends into it. That's the whole thesis working: Truemeet doesn't match you with strangers, it gives the people you already know a reason to actually go somewhere.
2) We opened our first WhatsApp community in Costa Rica where people request the activity they want — a hike, a board-game night, a coffee — and we build and coordinate it for them. Turns out most people don't lack friends, they lack someone who organizes the plan.
Biggest lesson so far: in a country of 5 million, "download an app and wait for strangers" never works. Starting from existing pairs and small groups does.
