It can be daunting to make a career shift to web3, especially for those who don’t code. There are new roles that don’t exist in other industries, and recruiting seems informal and network based. This guide aims to make a career pivot into web3 less ominous.

Hi everyone! 👋 Transition to Web3 is a resource for making a career shift to web3, for those who don’t code. As an investor in web3, I’ve heard from many people that web3 feels like the most dynamic and innovative industry out there today, but getting started can be daunting: many roles have titles they don’t recognize; there’s a ton of inside baseball; and recruiting processes seem a lot more informal or network-based. So we put together this Transition to Web3 guide that aims to unpack the career transition process into 6 easy steps, for people to progress through. With this guide, we hope to demystify the process of getting into web3 and collate the top resources, content, and people that we ourselves followed to get to where we are today. All too often, making a career switch can feel daunting, especially when there’s a new technology involved, and we want to lower those barriers so that anyone can participate to whichever degree they choose (full-time or just dabbling)! Please let us know what you think! If you have any questions, leave us a note in the comments. And if you have a resource that you’d like to add to the guide, please submit it in the form at the bottom of the site: https://guidetoweb3.xyz/submit-a... -Li

Hi friends! 👋 We are so excited to share Transition to Web3 as a resource for those who are non-technical and looking to make a career pivot to web3. I recently embarked on a similar career shift myself, pivoting from the education space into web3. While it was daunting, there were certain resources and tips that helped me along the way– many of them are included in this guide! Prior to joining Variant, I was working toward getting my Master’s in Education at Stanford University. Inspired by the promise of web3 in providing a more equitable, accessible future for all– a goal particularly emphasized and accelerated via Variant’s thesis surrounding the ownership economy– I decided to dive into the space full time. In my role at Variant, I partner with founders, builders, and community members alike to provide the tools, education, and support needed to bring the ownership economy thesis to fruition. Part of this includes working to create educational materials and programs that help onboard and assist current and future builders and contributors in this still nascent space; for example, this non-technical guide. We hope this 6 step guide will help lower the barrier to entry for those eager to participate in web3, and provide more structure to elucidate the process of getting into the space. Please let us know what you think! If you have any questions, leave us a note in the comments. And if you have a resource that you’d like to add to the guide, please submit it in the form at the bottom of the site: https://guidetoweb3.xyz/submit-a... -Alli
