An interactive railway map of the world: 600+ legendary train routes across 115 countries — high-speed, classic, night and scenic — with the facts behind every line.

How do you decide which routes count as legendary, and is there a way to filter by something like travel time or difficulty so I can pick a route that actually fits my schedule?
@glerdayara1vvd Hi thanks for the question.
How do you decide which routes count as legendary?- Randomly
Is there a way to filter by something like travel time or difficulty so I can pick a route that actually fits my schedule?- Thanks for the idea! This I will implement:)
How does the map pull in schedule and route data for the 600+ lines, and is it updated live or refreshed on a set cadence?
@egemen0p76 Thanks for the question. How Claude answers the question:
Short version: the route lines are static, hand-curated data baked into the site at build time — not pulled from any live feed — and there's no schedule data on the atlas map at all.
does it work offline once you load a route, or do you need a connection the whole time youre planning a trip across like mongolia
Does this include real-time scheduling and live tracking for the routes, or is it more of a static reference with the historic and scenic details?
Cool concept, especially the way each route has a little backstory attached. Spent way too long clicking around Japan before realizing how much ground it covers globally.
@hatunkeski92266 Thanks a lot!
The map's weight feels just right in your hand, and each route card has that satisfying pocket-sized trim that makes planning a long journey feel genuinely tactile. love how the scenic lines get their own little flourish without overdesigning the whole layout.
